A Left Upper Lobe Tumour Mimicking Tracheal Stenosis on Plain Chest X-Ray

A 67-year-old gentleman with large left upper lobe tumour treated with palliative radiotherapy presented with stridor. Chest X-Ray suggested tracheal stenosis (Figure 1
). Bronchoscopy revealed bronchial debris but no tracheal stenosis (Figure 2
). Chest X-Ray can be unreliable in diagnosing tracheal stenosis. As in this patient, obstruction due to bronchial debris following radiotherapy may cause stridor.
