Multi-Slice Scanner in Transdiaphragmatic Coronary and Abdominal Aortic Surgery

A combined transdiaphragmatic off-pump coronary artery surgery and infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (Figure 1
) was performed in a patient presenting a severe right coronary artery stenosis and an infrarenal abdominal aorta aneurysm. A Multi-Slice Computed Tomogrophy Scanner (SOMATOM Sensation 64, Siemens Medical Solutions, Forchheim, Germany) performed six months later, confirmed the efficacy of this indication (Figure 2
).
