Cardiac Fibroma on Chest X-Ray

This routine screening chest X-Ray of a 60-year-old woman showed a double mass in the left ventricle (Figure 1
), whilst a third one was demonstrated on echocardiography. Deep exploration of her past medical history revealed a short term of aphasia. Resection of the masses through the aorta was carried out on operation (Figure 2A
). Histology confirmed the presence of cardiac fibroma (Figure 2B
)
