A 56-year-old woman was referred with an incidental finding of an intrathoracic mass on a routine check-up. Plain chest radiography and computed tomography revealed a huge cystic mass in the left hemithorax, with dense pericystic calcification that caused restriction of the lesion (Figures 1Go and 2Go). Bronchogenic cyst, teratoma, pericardiyal cyst, pulmonary sarcoma, or hydatid disease of the lung were the preliminary diagnoses. An exploratory thoracotomy was considered for both diagnosis and treatment, but the patient refused any intervention.
